The Ark is located deep in the Aberdare National Park, 180km north-west of Nairobi and 45 minutes' game drive from the base hotel in Nyeri – the Aberdare Country Club - where you leave your bags and worries behind for the night.
Built to resemble Noah's Ark it floats amid the forests of the Aberdare National Park, joined to the world by its own wooden drawbridge. The Ark is built adjacent to a waterhole and salt lick that attracts all manner of wildlife notably forest elephants.
The Ark provides several areas to watch the animals that cme to drink at the waterhole - you can view game from the lounge/bar area, on roof top and from an underground bunker.
The Ark consists cabin-style en-suite rooms each with private bathrooms with shower and comfortably furnished to enjoy views of the forest or waterhole.
