Tanzania Safari Itinerary

Day 1:Arrival Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)

You will be met upon your arrival in JRO; and transfer to Hotel in Arusha.

Day 2:Arusha & Tarangire

Today, after breakfast, we drive to Tarangire National Park with picnic lunch; the park is renowned for its large elephant population. Game drives in the park..

 Day 3:Tarangire & Ngorongoro

We drive to Karatu village for dinner and overnight there.

Adventure Camping Comfortable Adventure Camping at Simba Campsite

Day 4:Ngorongoro (Karatu) / Serengeti

Drive towards Ngorongoro (approx 20mins); after registration at the gate, enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and drive for about 30minutes before entering the descending gate of the Crater. Game drives safari in the Crater, exploring the short-grass plains of the crater floor. This extinct volcano embraces 100sq miles alive with lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, buffalo, and many more games. Later in the day we drive to overnight in Serengeti.

Day 5~6:Serengeti

Game drives safari in the Serengeti, exploring the rolling plains of Serengeti National Park in search of the large predators and the gentle herbivores, on which they feed.

Day 7:Serengeti & Lake Manyara

After breakfast another game drive in Serengeti, then drive to overnight in Lake Manyara with an optional visit to a Maasai Village and/or Olduvai Gorge at an extra cost.

Day 8:Lake Manyara (Safari or Cultural tour), Arusha, Kilimanjaro & Departure

Morning game drive safari in Lake Manyara Park. The park is home to colorful birds, elephants, zebras, giraffe, hippos, antelopes and other animals.
Alternative (instead of game drive safari in Manyara): After breakfast, we drive to nearby Mto wa Mbu area (4+ miles from Manyara Park’s gate) to do an approximately two hour cultural tour which will include visiting banana or rice plantations as well as a walking safari with traditional healers who will explain the medicinal values of the indigenous plants.

We will drive back to Arusha and proceed Airport Planet Lodge where we will stop to freshen up before proceeding to the airport for your evening/night flight back home.
