Uganda safari Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala – Bwindi Forest or Kigali to Volcanoes National park
Arrive at Entebbe international airport, meet our diver guide and transfer to Bwindi forest via Kampala Masaka Mbarara Kabale route. Enjoy Ankole beautiful sceneries, take photographs at the equator with and proceed for an en route lunch at Igongo Cultural centre in Mbarara. Reach Bwindiin the evening for an overnight at Mahgany springs lodge, Bwindi Forest Lodge.
Alternatively, Arrive at Kigali International airport, meet our driver guide and drive to Volcanoes National park in northwestern Rwanda. You will enjoy the scenic drive through the rolling hills of Rwanda which make your safari more enjoyable. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge, Gorilla Solution lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Cultural Visits

Wake up early, have breakfast and at 7:00 am transfer to any headquarters of the respective gorilla national park (Bwindi or Volcanoes). At around 8:00 am, you will transfer to the trekking starting point and follow various trails in the forest in search of the gorillas. This may take you between 2-6 hours but the experience is surely memorable. On reaching the gorillas, you will spend an hour observing their behaviors and taking photographs after which you will descend back to the lodge forest. If you are trekking in Volcanoes National park, you have high chances of seeing gorillas earlier than in Bwindi. Later in the day, go for cultural encounters. In Bwindi, you will visit Batwa pygmies in the boundaries of the forest while in Rwanda, visit the Ibyiwacu community village to learn more about Rwanda culture. visit the Batwa pygmies, the traditional forest dwellers who will demonstrate to you about their forest life. Dinner and overnight at the lodge (Day 1).

Day 3: Drive Back to Kampala or Drive back to Kigali for the return flight

Transfer back to Kampala, briefly stop at the Equator for photographs, connect to Entebbe Airport for your scheduled flight. In Rwanda, drive back to Kigali, have a short city tour and connect to Kigali International airport for your return flight.
