Day 1: Mombasa to Tsavo East National Park and Back
Our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Mombasa between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM for an early departure. Enjoy a scenic drive along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway heading toward Tsavo East National Park (approx. 3-4 hours).
Upon arrival at the park around 9:00 AM, enter through one of the main gates (Bachuma or Manyani) and begin your first game drive. Explore the park’s vast terrain and spot iconic wildlife such as red elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and over 500 bird species.
At midday, enjoy a packed lunch at a scenic picnic site within the park or at a lodge, depending on your selected package. Continue with an afternoon game drive from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM, covering new areas of the park including attractions like the Aruba Dam, Lugard’s Falls, and the Yatta Plateau—the world’s longest lava flow.
By 4:30 PM, begin your return journey to Mombasa, arriving at your hotel between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
